Artecology CoCreate™️ begins!

We're excited to announce the success of our first Artecology CoCreate™️ training workshop in Middlesbrough! This three-day event, commissioned by Groundwork Northeast and Cumbria, brought together participants from a variety of backgrounds to learn about ecoengineering and develop hands-on experience in creating hybrid nature-based solutions.

The workshop was led by our team of experienced ecoengineers, who provided training and guidance on the principles and techniques of ecoengineering the Artecology way. Participants were able to gain a deeper understanding of the role of ecoengineering in creating sustainable solutions for environmental challenges.

Over the course of three days, participants were able to put their learning into practice, working on a range of hybrid nature based solutions , including the creation of wildlife habitats and green infrastructure for use in urban intertidal settings. The highlight of the workshop was the creation of 45 sculptural habitats called PodPools™️. In the coming weeks, those that took part in the training will deploy their habitat creations at various coastal sites in the Northeast of England.

After the three day intensive course Matt Machouki, Landscape Architect at Growndwork NE said - “Thank you for your time and effort, I'm glad it gave you chance to move CoCreate forward. It was definitely worthwhile for us - so much better to involve the trainees in the whole process, and we’re now looking forward to installation.”

At Artecology, we believe that the future of ecoengineering lies in collaboration and community involvement. That's why we're thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Groundwork Northeast and Cumbria to bring our training workshop to Middlesbrough. By working with communities, organisations, and individuals, we hope to inspire and empower people to take action and make a positive impact on the places where they live.

We're looking forward to continuing our work with Groundwork Northeast and Cumbria, and to bringing our Artecology CoCreate training workshops to other communities and organisations in the future. Together, we can create a more sustainable and biodiverse future for our planet.
